Building sustainably shouldn't be difficult

We create technology that removes the friction that comes with choosing sustainability.

Who is the dinosaur?

Say hi to Bronto

Bronto is a brontosaurus - the largest of all dinosaurs. Because he is so big and heavy, it is difficult for him to reverse direction. So when Bronto meets a tree, it's more efficient for him to tear down the tree than to walk round it. He's not unlike the construction industry - a big and heavy industry, with difficulty changing direction.

Sustainability - and why it's so important to us at Kvist

By 2050, there will be 10 billion people on the planet, and 90% of this growth will take place in cities. That's the equivalent of a new Stockholm, every week, for 30 years. This will require significant resources and pose major environmental challenges. The construction industry already accounts for 40% of energy-related CO2 emissions, while experiencing a 10% reduction in productivity since 2000. This makes it crucial to change how we build to meet future needs sustainably.

Our approach
Sustainable buildings, certified through standards such as BREEAM, can reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 22% over the life of the building. Despite this, the processes around environmental certification are often complex and resource-intensive. At Kvist, we are dedicated to supporting this necessary transition by making sustainable measures more accessible and effective for the construction industry. Together, we can reduce our environmental impact and create a better future for generations to come.
